As we approach
the beginning of November, we realize that the Advent Season is
just around the corner. While you will be busy preparing at home,
we are busy preparing at church. The children will have plenty
to keep them busy and to help them remember the "reason for
the season". Children's choir is already working on our production
which will be performed on December 15. Children will also be
involved in chimes and dance for Christmas performances.
Last
Sunday we had thirty-two children in choir. WOW!! I was overwhelmed
and very thankful to all you parents who brought your children
to choir and to those moms and Nicole who stayed and helped.
The mission team and children's
council are busy coordinating an adoption program which will focus
on eighteen Hospice patients. Each week in Sunday School, during
the month of December, the kids will make a craft for Hospice
patients and on December 22 we will get the chance to sing all
those Christmas songs, which we have been working on, for our
adoptees at Hobbs Health Care.
As a church, let us try to make
this Advent Season meaningful to the children of our congregation.
Take every opportunity to attend the special services which will
be available during the Holidays.
Shalom,
Shannon Duncan
